Emmanuelle BRECHET is Vice President of Data and digital Technologies at TotalEnergies, an industrial accelerator that delivers data-driven value and digital solutions to enhance business performance and support the company’s transformation.
Her experience inside TotalEnergies was historically in Exploration-Production with various experiences such as Reservoir geophysicist, development geoscientist in Angola, 4D seismic project leader, Head of reservoir characterization and modelling, Geoscience and reservoir project leader and deputy director of deepwater projects…
Based in Pau in France, she oversees actually a multidisciplinary team of over 160 professionals across six departments, including data engineers, scientists, software developers, HPC experts, geoscience, geospatial and operations engineers.
Under her leadership, DataTech has become a cornerstone of TotalEnergies’ OneTech Technical Lines, driving innovation through initiatives such as the deployment of the OSDU data platform, the industrialization of data science tools dedicated to data management, the development of key digital tools such as digital twins for asset monitoring, Geoscience & Reservoir software (Sismage CIG), Geospatial applications for GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and drones.
Emmanuelle has also contributed to the integration of AI generative technologies into operational workflows such as advanced search engines, emphasizing pragmatic, customer-focused solutions that break down silos and foster hybrid competencies.
A strong advocate for technical excellence and autonomy, she played a key role in the launch of Pangea 4, TotalEnergies’ hybrid supercomputer. This next-generation platform combines on-site and cloud computing to support advanced digital simulations while significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint. Emmanuelle describes Pangea as “our computing power, fostering technical autonomy and innovation as close to business needs as possible”
