Emmanuel Bourdoncle is Project Manager for the Regulation and Sustainability of Space Activities at the French Directorate General for Enterprise (DGE), within the French Ministry of the Economy. In this role, he contributes to the development of France's space policy by leading work on the evolution of the regulatory framework for space activities, with a particular focus on European regulatory initiatives, including the EU Space Act, as well as on the sustainability of space activities. His work covers topics ranging from Space Situational Awareness (SSA) to the development of the decarbonization roadmap for the French space sector. Emmanuel holds a PhD in Public International Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Prior to joining the DGE, he served as a Legal Consultant at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where he specialized in public international law, with a particular focus on air and space law. His combined expertise in international law and space policy enables him to bring a multidisciplinary perspective on the legal, regulatory, and sustainability challenges shaping the future of the European space sector.
