Francesca Piatto is a down-to-earth professional working at the intersection of EU policy and projects, communities and technology, with a focus on turning European space capabilities into practical value for users and stakeholders.
She is Operations Manager at EURISY, a European association representing European space agencies and connecting space actors with users and organisations across different sectors.
In this role, she supports the association’s strategic operations and activities, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, partnerships, events and initiatives that foster the uptake of space-based technologies and data for the benefit of the society, by working with space agencies, institutions, industry and end users.
Previously, she was Project Officer and Outreach Coordinator at EARSC, the European
Association of Remote Sensing Companies, where she led outreach and user uptake strategy activities across research-to-business projects.
Prior to this, she collaborated with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Rosario, Argentina, supporting EU projects, and with Business Bridge Europe, where she delivered the annual EU Space Conference. Francesca holds an MA in EU External Relations and International Migration from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies.
