Group Vice-President - Innovation and Sustainable Development

Paul-Joël Derian is Executive Vice President in charge of Innovation, R&D and Sustainable Development at the AVRIL Group, a €10 billion agri-food and agricultural business, and is a member of the Group’s Executive Committee.
He joined AVRIL in 2017, following six years at SUEZ, where he worked in the water and waste management sectors, and 22 years in the chemical industry at RHODIA, now part of SOLVAY, where he held several international positions in R&D, business strategy and business management.
Paul-Joël holds a Ph.D. in Physics and is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS).
